Lebanon, sits geographically next to Syria and currently hosts the largest population of refugees from all over the region. The Bible Society of Singapore sent a small team to Beirut, Lebanon on a story gathering trip, to meet and find out what the team was already doing on the ground, the most pressing needs of the crisis as well as how they could help.
As a Christian, our wonderfully honest and informative guide, Joyce, said a line that will stay with me for a long time. "I find it difficult to help the Syrian refugees, they killed many people in my Country. They're the reason why our country is unstable but in the end its the woman and children that are suffering. But Jesus tells us to love our neighbour, so we must continue to let them in, and show them God's love. It is the only thing that can change them and prevent more terror."
